Family-Friendly Beer Garden & Pub Garden in St Nicholas Hurst

Friendly and traditional, The Wheelwright’s Arms is a country pub in the village of St Nicholas Hurst, nestled in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. Our pub is home to two outdoor spaces, a spacious front patio and a charming, enclosed beer garden at the back, complete with a heated canopy and twinkling festoon lighting for a warm, welcoming atmosphere even in the cooler months

The garden is dog-friendly and a favourite spot for guests to relax with family, friends and four-legged companions. Whether you’re enjoying a casual drink, a hearty meal or soaking up the sunshine, it’s the perfect setting to make the most of our food and drinks.

In the summer, our beer garden truly comes alive. We host Wheelies Fest, welcome live music throughout the season, and open our popular outdoor bar most weekends (when the weather allows!)

Situated close to Dinton Pastures and the Black and White Swan Lakes, our pub garden makes the ideal pitstop – whether you’re resting after a countryside walk or recharging before your next adventure. With its character, charm and lively atmosphere, the Wheelwright’s Arms beer garden is a destination in its own right.
